Santa Ditches Reindeer Sleigh for Festive Motorcycle This Christmas

According to a recent survey by Swinton, the UK's leading bike insurance broker, if Santa was to ride a motorbike he'd most likely opt for a festive version of the classic Harley Davidson, the Holly Davidson.

Over 60 per cent of those surveyed said good old St Nick would be best suited to a Harley Davidson Fat Boy, closely followed by a Honda CB500.

It seems that the majority of Brits think Father Christmas would be suited to the classic vintage style motorbikes rather than the more modern 'boy racer' superbikes that are popular with riders today.

Just under a third questioned said they hope Santa would consider riding an environmentally friendly motorbike such as the ENV (Emission Neutral Vehicle) bike which uses hydrogen rather than petrol, as he clocks up considerable miles during his journey on Christmas Eve.

Over 10 per cent of customers surveyed said Santa's bike would most likely have a side car for passengers and also a trailer on tow to carry Christmas gifts.

According to the survey, the top bikes you'd most likely see Santa riding are:
