The Oil Industry Helps Launch a Hip & New Green Candle Company
Newly launched Mountain Mama's Kitchen Co introduces the hip & new "Hand Poured" Soy Candles that Mama pours with lots of love for a healthy, sustainable and fragrant green candle. "Having just lost our Mother, we created Mountain Mamas Kitchen Co to honor her.."
Our football team and fans are looking forward to traveling to Jacksonville to play in this great bowl game. West Virginia University has a great history and tradition with the Gator Bowl, and we look forward to our trip to that great city and the game on January 1st.
Plano, TX December 6, 2009 -- Sisters, Natalie Galyon and Paige McGee had a "green moment" and recently launched the boutique candle company, Mountain Mamas Kitchen Co., featuring hand poured Soy Candles. "We were unfulfilled and working in the oil industry when we realized we want make a positive impact on the world around us."
"We really turned the opposite direction of the oil industry with idea of our company- 'Hand poured with lots of Love is our mantra'. Having just lost our mother, we created our company to honor her and her favorite personality, I Love Lucy. Mountain Mama's Kitchen Co. was born."
"Our original thought was, if we could change the candles in people's homes from petroleum based wax to soy wax, we could make a difference and so could our customers." 75% of all households burn candles, so it makes it easy for people to make small changes. Why not start at home? Soy candles burn slower, cooler and cleaner than paraffin wax candles, creating a longer burning candle that is sustainable and green. Also buying soybean products creates important economic growth for the agricultural sector of the US economy.
In addition to an environmentally friendly candle, Mountain Mama's Kitchen Co. is also a member of 1% for the Planet, an alliance of businesses that donate at least 1% of their annual revenues to environmental organizations worldwide.
From Elk Poop to Trailer Trash, the Retro-Vintage inspired In-A-Can Collection has a candle for all of the earth's people and it's creatures. Each soy candle is hand-poured with lots of love and infused with fragrance oils to deliver the maximum experience. The Retro-Vintage packaging is both sophisticated and hip for the young at heart.
Special thought was put into what kind of candle to create. "Candles have been around for a long time we wanted an edge and something fun for everyone"- The Candle IN-A-Can was born. We created the unique packaging with humor and heart which inspire laughter with fun names such as Bees IN-A-CAN with black and white humorous images that match the names. You can take these candles anywhere since they are poured in a travel tin and are guaranteed to make you smile".
