Press Release - FAA Proposes $252,175 Civil Penalty Against Execuflight, Inc.

Atlanta, GA The U.S. Department of Transportations Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes a $252,175 civil penalty against Execuflight, Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for allegedly violating Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to aircraft maintenance.

The FAA alleges the charter company allowed an unqualified worker to perform certain maintenance tasks on the companys Gulfstream G-1159A jet. The FAA further alleges the company allowed that worker to inspect and sign off on work that he had performed, which is prohibited under FAA regulations.

Additionally, the FAA alleges Execuflight failed to keep accurate maintenance records for the Gulfstream, resulting in a lack of documentation that various tasks were completed or reviewed and approved.

Execuflight has 30 days after receiving the FAAs enforcement letter to respond to the agency.
