Leadership Expert Carolyn Rivera to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, January 2, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Leadership is all about having a "victory” mindset. You have to have a vision. You have to influence. You have to be trusted and be a good team player and build relationships. You have to be obsessed with being successful. When you do all those things, it will yield the results you're looking for.

Carolyn Rivera had watched every single episode of every season of Survivor when she was finally invited to compete on the show for its 30th season “Worlds Apart.” She came in second place.

“Survivor was the best thing that ever happened to me,” says Carolyn. “You have to interact with all different types of people from all walks of life, build relationships with them, vote them off the island and hope they will still vote for you in the end.”

Carolyn had been a leadership expert long before she went to the island and the skills she developed throughout her career served her well. For 30 years, Carolyn has focused on leadership development, providing training for organizations like Citibank, MetLife and H&R Block just to name a few.

Today, Carolyn works with both individuals and organizations providing leadership training, executive coaching and motivational speaking to help them to transition from where they are today to where they want to be tomorrow.

“I love pushing people to the next level,” says Carolyn. “Seeing that transformation and how it's helped them catapult their career and be more successful, happier, less stressed is very rewarding for me.”

Carolyn says, much like Survivor, success depends on working effectively with individuals to build relationships and get more out of people without tearing them down and demotivating them. It's understanding the difference in people and personalities and diversity and skill sets.

“It's all about getting people to buy in and believe in your vision and be passionate about your vision, the same way you are” says Carolyn.

Carolyn has written a chapter for The Change Series with Jim Lutes and Jim Britt in book 11. Her chapter is entitled "Are You Near-sighted or Far-sighted in Your Vision?"

“Are you only seeing what's right there in front of you or are you able to look beyond? How far can you go? What possibilities do you see? Are you taking risks with your visioning process? Do you even have a vision?”

“Once you determine the type of vision, then you think about the process of developing your vision. What is the outcome that you're looking for? What support and help are you going to need throughout that process, because you need to communicate it effectively and be able to get people as passionate about your vision as you are. When people are passionate, they're more likely to be supportive and help you through that process.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Carolyn Rivera in an interview with Jim Masters on January 4th at 2pm EST.
