LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA, November 28, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- What is LGBTQ photography? Is it masculine? Is it feminine? Is it non-binary or genderfluid? Must we first redefine then design new images to reflect our changing society?

30 emerging and mid-career artists will be selected from an international competition and presented in the Bert Green Fine Art booth at The LA Art Show http://www.laartshow.com/. Best in Show will be selected by celebrity juror, Zackary Drucker, transgender artist, activist, actress and producer of Amazon TV’s Transparent. The exhibition will include an invitational, Wall of Fame featuring top LGBTQ photographers, curated by Phil Tarley. The LA Art Show, January 10 -14, 2018, now in its 23rd year, is the largest art fair on the west coast, with an estimated 70,000 attendees over the four-day period.

After The LA Art Show, Round Hole, Square Peg ™ 3, will open at The City of West Hollywood’s Long Hall Gallery in Plummer Park, for a six-week museum-style exhibition from February 3-March 17, 2018, where a Special Recognition Award will be given to an emerging West Hollywood photographer chosen by Fabrik Projects Gallery Director Chris Davies, Producer of the Photo Independent Art Fair.

West Hollywood’s opening reception on Saturday, February 3, from 6-9 PM, will feature a live photo art raffle benefitting the Trevor Project: the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth. On January 1, 2018, photographic artworks will be available for raffle ticket purchase through the exhibition’s website and at the opening night reception. Photo Raffle ticket holders need not be present to win. Notification of winners will be by phone and e-mail. Opening Night dance mix by DJ Paul V from Drag Strip 66.
