Today, Kings looks to "warm up" to the next generation of customers and finds strength in the local growing restaurant scene.

Warm cinnamon rolls, ice cream, famous chili and hot roasted turkey sandwiches are the foods that made Kings famous. The chain will keep with its signature foods but introduces a new 50th menu. Younger guests, those perhaps on date night, may be enticed with trendier foods like craft burgers, pretzel bites, spinach artichoke dip and chips, and bourbon glazed salmon.
 
Kings is planning celebrations for its 50 years of service to the community with many exciting events throughout the next year.  It all kicks off with a golden anniversary party at its flagship location on Lincoln Highway in North Versailles on Saturday, November 4th. Star Pittsburgh 100.7 FM, prizes, airbrush tattoos, balloon artist for younger guests and more are scheduled from 10 AM – 1 PM.

In October, Kings employees and customers fundraised for the American Cancer Society, and Kings presented to the Mario Lemieux Foundation a $10,000 fundraising donation to benefit the Austin’s Playroom Military Project initiative.
