Gazprom Board of Directors reviews sales of non-core assets in second quarter of 2017

Background

Since 2002, Gazprom has made continuous efforts to identify and sell the non-core assets of the Company and its subsidiaries.

In June 2013, the Company adopted the Program for the disposal of non-core assets for a three-year period from the second half of 2013 through the first half of 2016. In 2016, the new Program for the disposal of non-core assets and the Register of Gazprom's non-core assets were adopted. The documents, which were approved in accordance with the directives of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for State Property Management (Rosimushchestvo), took into account the government-endorsed Guidelines on the identification and disposal of non-core assets, as well as Gazprom's established practices for selling such assets and the specifics of the Company's activities. In December 2016, the Register of non-core assets was updated and the Action plan for non-core assets disposal program of Gazprom for 2017 was approved.
