The HDS-42AVR and HDS-12AVR provide 4 and 1 Full4K HDCP2.2 compatible HDMI inputs, respectively. Each then offers 2 HDMI outputs, 1 pass through output supporting Full4K and all forms of HDR, while the second HDMI out provides an HDMI1.4 signal with HDMI audio (including formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-X). Designed to compliment high quality surround sound AVRs which do not support HDMI2.0 or HDCP2.2, the HDS-42 and 12AVR deliver uncompressed 4K and HDR image quality for UHD displays while accommodating legacy and reference audio equipment without compromising HDCP integrity. The HDS-42AVR comes with a simple remote including discrete IR switching as well as an RS232 port for advanced control systems. A firmware update port protects against changing formats in the future and also enables hyper-custom features such as our ability to install a manufacturer's own factory IR codes, allowing their remote to control our HDMI switch.
The HDS-42AVR and HDS-12AVR are expected to begin shipping in October with MSRPs of $399 and $299 each.
