NEW DELHI, DELHI, INDIA, August 26, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- New Delhi, India, 26th August 2017:
United Nations has installed Earthquake Onsite Early warning and safety System in its official building at Almaty, Kazakhstan. The United Nations reposed trust on the Unique earthquake warning system developed by Secty Electronics GmbH, Germany with the cooperation of GFZ- GEO Research Center, Potsdam, Germany.

The system has already been tested successfully internationally by highly reputed scientific institutions like GFZ itself; Sheriff University, Tehran, Iran; TUV Engineering industry, Germany, National Observatory of Athens, Greece and CSIR- Structural Engineering Research Centre, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and more than 26 countries are benefited at present.

The system senses the primary wave of an earthquake and calculates its intensity. It is programmed in such a manner that it shuts off gas supply, power supply and switch on power back, water supply, stops the elevators on safest position, opens emergency gates and gives alarm in case of an earthquake of high intensity of more than 5. The company claims that it is only such system in the world which can be connected to the building management system.

The Earthquake Onsite early warning and safety system got more prominence when Shri Manohar lal Khattar, Chief Minister, Haryana acknowledged it amid Independence celebrations on 15th August 2017 at Haryana Institute of Public Administration, Gurugram, Haryana, India and triggered a test alarm in the premises. It is his government in India identified this technology for onsite early warning of earthquakes when early warning of earthquakes has become a big issue before south Asian countries. The identified German technology has now given a new direction to the South Asian countries for installing such devices in earthquake prone areas to get prepared to fight disaster against severe earthquakes and mitigate information to the people before it strikes. The installation of such early warning system can help the governments in early recovery of revenue loss and reduce the loss of lives and infrastructure. India has already 2 projects functional in Haryana state.
