Gentex Announces Quarterly Cash Dividend and Additional Share Repurchase Authorization

ZEELAND, Mich., Aug. 23, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gentex Corporation (NASDAQ:GNTX), the Zeeland, Michigan-based manufacturer of automotive automatic-dimming rearview mirrors, automotive electronics, dimmable aircraft windows and fire protection products, today announced that its Board of Directors recently declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.10 (10 cents) per share that will be payable October 18, 2017, to shareholders of record of the common stock at the close of business on October 6, 2017.

Board Approves Additional Share Repurchases
At its most recent meeting, the Board of Directors authorized the purchase of an additional 15 million shares of its common stock. As of August 23, 2017, including the most recent authorization, the Company has a total of approximately 15.7 million shares remaining available for repurchase. The Company intends to continue to repurchase additional shares of its common stock in the future depending on macroeconomic issues, market trends and other factors that the Company deems appropriate.
