It is designed to provide information security professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the best-practice standard for information security and the skills to lead an ISO 27001 information security management system (ISMS) implementation project.

CIS LI is acknowledged by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) as meeting the requirements to apply to become a PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA).
