VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 14, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- (TSX-V:BZ) (Frankfurt:1VU) Benz Mining Corp. (the “Company” or “Benz”), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. H. Leo King as a member of the Advisory Board to the Company’s Board of Directors.

Mr. H. Leo King, a Professional Geologist, has over 50 years of experience in minerals exploration and mining geology, including 20 years in senior executive positions for several mineral resource companies.  He has been directly involved in exploration and evaluation work on the Mel Property since 1976 and has authored a number of geological reports.  He remains the most knowledgeable individual on all geological matters pertaining to the Mel Property.

Mr. King was president and director of International Barytex Resources Ltd. and Kobex Resources Ltd. until 2009 when the two companies amalgamated.  He is currently President and a director of Pacific Imperial Mines Inc., a junior resource company.  He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, a Life Member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada.  Mr. King is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with Bachelor and Master of Arts Degree in Geology.

The Company also announces the resignation of Mr. Michael Konnert, as director and VP Finance & Corporate Development, effective August 11, 2017.  The Board of Directors would like to thank Mr. Konnert for his services to the Company and wish him success in his future endeavours.

Benz further announces that it received approval for a Dual-Listing on the Frankfurt Exchange under the trading symbol 1VU.  The Company’s common shares began trading on the Frankfurt Exchange on Monday, August 14, 2017.
