Group of complex-needs children from charity The Benjamin Foundation visit Norwich based Trampoline park for fun, inclusive day out.

NORWICH, NORFOLK, UNITED KINGDOM, July 11, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Norwich based trampoline park High Altitude enjoys a visit from a group of complex-needs children helped by local charity, The Benjamin Foundation. High Altitude, whose staff are all specifically trained to work with complex and special needs children are proudly autism aware and paediatric first aid qualified, making them the ideal safe space for children with complex needs to visit.

The park recently received a visit from a group of young people from the Thetford Meet Up Centre run by the Benjamin Foundation. The big lottery funded centre aims to bring four key things to the underprivileged children it helps; “Hope, Independence, Stability and Opportunity”. The children, aged 12-17 who attended the trampolining day out at High Altitude were children who have trouble with low self-confidence, low self-esteem or have learning disabilities. Meet Up manager Mike Towndrow who arranged the visit said that the aim of the day was to “try to get children who wouldn’t usually interact together or with others to have fun and work together as a team”.

Owing to the specific autism-awareness training that staff at High Altitude have undergone, the staff members enabled the staff and children from the Benjamin Foundation to have an enjoyable, smoothly run day. “It was clear the staff were highly trained. Mike stated. “At all times, they were considerate of the group’s needs. It really took the pressure off us as the staff, and gave us peace of mind”.

The awareness and availability of the staff and their encouragement of the group allowed the children to step out of their comfort zone, push their boundaries and experience a thoroughly enjoyable day out. The success of the visit is testament to High Altitude’s attitude towards working with the local community and providing a “fun, safe, healthy, and inclusive” environment for everybody.
