Gazprom Neft subsidiary Gazpromneft-Vostok has begun construction of a gas pipeline connecting the booster compressor station at the Urmanskoye field with gas transportation infrastructure operated by Tomskgazprom. The total through-put capacity of the 100-kilometre trunk pipeline is 500 million cubic metres of associated petroleum gas (APG) per year.
Construction of the gas pipeline forms part of a major investment project directed at achieving APG utilisation of 95 percent across the Urmanskoye and Archinskoye fields, as well as assets at licence block no 105 (the Yuzhno-Pudinsky block, including the Kulginsky, Smolyanoye, Yuzhno-Tabaganskoye and Solonovskoye fields). Gas from Gazpromneft-Vostok assets feeding into the pipeline system will be delivered to gas treatment facilities at Tomskgazprom’s Myldzhinskoye gas condensate field.
Over the course of the two years it will take to implement the project Gazpromneft-Vostok plans to build and commission a range of further technological facilities including, in particular, a vacuum compressor station at the Archinskoye field with capacity for 13.5 million cubic metres of APG per year, as well as a gas compressor station and vacuum compressor station at the Urmanskoye field. The facilities at the Archinskoye and Urmanskoye fields will be connected by an 18-kilometre-long gas pipeline, with capacity for 250 million cubic metres of APG per year. Total investment in implementing this project is expected to exceed RUB6 billion.
A gas and power hub with generation and gas transmission capacity having been created at Gazpromneft-Vostok’s Shinginskoye field, which the Archinskoye- and Urmanskoye-field gas infrastructure will connect into, this new capacity will allow the utilisation of all hydrocarbons produced at these assets. Thanks to this holistic approach to integrated project implementation at the Shinginskoye field, Gazprom Neft will have flexibility in APG utilisation, directing it either for its own independent power generation or delivering it into the gas transportation system.
Gazpromneft-Vostok operates in the Tomsk and Omsk Oblasts. The company holds subsoil usage rights to six licence blocks: the Shinginsky, Zapadno-Luginetsky, Yuzhno-Pudinsky, Archinsky, and Urmansky blocks, as well as the south—west section of the Krapivinsky field. Production at Gazpromneft-Vostok totalled 1.79 million tonnes of oil equivalent (mtoe) as at end-2015.
As part of a programme to increase APG usage, Gazpromneft-Vostok commissioned a gas compressor station at the Shinginskoye field in 2016, together with the Shiginskaya 24 MW-capacity gas turbine power plant (GTPP), as well as building a 35-kilometer gas pipeline connecting the gas transmission systems of the Zapadno-Luginetsk and Shinginskoye fields.
