"Made in America" Giti tires will come as original equipment on the Volkswagen Passat. The tires will be produced at the company's new South Carolina plant.

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA, UNITED STATES, June 15, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- GITI Tire (USA), Ltd., has received confirmation that two Giti tire sizes will come as original equipment on the 2019 Volkswagen Passat. The premium All-Season Giti ComfortA1 will be sized in 235/45R18 95H and 235/40R19 92H.

This marks the first original equipment placements for Giti brand tires that will be manufactured at the company’s plant in Chester County, SC, which is expected to begin production later this year.

Company officials said they are very proud to announce that “Made in America” Giti tires will be original equipment on such a popular vehicle from a prestigious world-class auto manufacturer. The Volkswagen Passat is manufactured in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

A Giti Tire brand has also been sourced as original equipment on the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas, the German automaker’s all-new full-size sport utility vehicle (SUV). The Atlas, which will be produced at VW’s Chattanooga plant, has three rows and seats up to seven people.

The tire company’s 1.8 million square foot plant will produce five million tires annually for the replacement and original equipment tire markets when at full capacity.
