This spring, Couvrette Photography is celebrating a successful 40 year run in Ottawa, making it the longest standing studio in the city. The 4500sq ft studio at 430 Gladstone is the last photographer-owned studio building in downtown Ottawa, where once there were 20 photographers.
Paul Couvrette has created portraits of every Prime Minister from Trudeau to Trudeau and every Mayor from Dewar to Watson. His work has appeared on Canadian currency and stamps as well as over 500 magazine covers.

His talk will focus on his relationship with Canada`s most noted photographers, the Karsh brothers and his views on where the industry is headed in the digital age. Couvrette has survived where a thousand have not since starting his Ottawa studio, in part by pioneering digital technology in Canada.
