NIS Board of Directors appoints Kirill Tyurdenev CEO of Serbia’s NIS

The Board of Directors of NIS a.d. Novy Sad has taken the decision to appoint Kirill Tyurdenev (previously First Deputy CEO for Refining, Sales and Distribution) CEO of NIS. The company’s current CEO, Kirill Kravchenko, will continue in his role as Deputy CEO for International Asset Management at Gazprom Neft, with his role on Gazprom Neft’s Management Board extended to now include responsibility for improving efficiency, as well as the implementation of a comprehensive integrated operations management system. In addition to this, Mr Kravchenko will remain a member of the Board of Directors of NIS and will remain involved in strategic decision making on the company’s development, making use of his experience gained in managing Gazprom Neft’s Serbian subsidiary.

Kirill Vladimirovich Tyurdenev was born on 19 April 1977. He received a bachelor’s degree (honours) in international affairs, subsequently obtaining a master’s degree in international law from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), as well as gaining a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from the University of Manchester and completing executive education programmes at INSEAD and London Business School. From 2000 he worked for A.T. Kearney and Unilever before joining McKinsey & Co in 2004. From 2007 through 2012 he was Deputy CEO for Strategy and Corporate Development at SIBUR — Fertilisers. In 2012 he joined JSFC Sistema as Executive Vice President and a member of the Management Board. Prior to joining NIS he held the posts of President, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and President of Ufaorgsintez at United Petrochemical Company, at that time part of JSFC Sistema. He assumed the post of First Deputy CEO for Refining, Sales and Distribution at NIS a.d. Novi Sad in April 2016, being elected to the Board of Directors on 8 December 2016. He was appointed CEO of NIS a.d. Novy Sad on 24 March 2017.
