Transport infrastructure meeting to be held in Dubai under the patronage of UAE's Minister of Infrastructure Development

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, March 21, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Ministry of Infrastructure Development is currently implementing regional projects as part of efforts to deliver the UAE Vision 2021 National Agenda, which seek to position the UAE as the world’s best in road quality and infrastructure.

The GCC government spend on transport infrastructure is planned to reach USD$288 billion by 2020. With key issues such as increasing congestion and high traffic density, improving road transport to support these rapid developments are key priority and requirement for the GCC governments. Further stress will be put on the transport network with the upcoming mega events such as the Dubai World Expo 2020 in the UAE and FIFA World Cup 2022.

H.E. Dr. Abdullah Belhaif AlNuaimi, UAE’s Minister of Infrastructure Development, and Eng. Ahmed Al Hammadi, Roads Department Director, Ministry of Infrastructure Development, will deliver a keynote opening that will shed the light on the importance of developing key aspects of transport infrastructure in the region.
