Please join us at the 39th annual meeting of Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment. This year’s meeting will feature a panel discussion on the trends, progress, and standards in the labeling of sustainable products. We’ll learn how ecolabels can assist us in making informed decisions and how greenwashing, the false or disingenuous claims of sustainability can misinform.

Our panelists are experts in the field of sustainability. Alison Kinn Bennett is senior advisor for sustainable products and purchasing at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. She currently leads the EPA’s pilot effort to develop guidelines for assessing environmental performance standards and ecolabels for use in federal purchasing. Jason Holstine of the Amicus Green Building Center has more than fourteen years’ experience helping consumers, businesses, governments, and non-government organizations (NGOs) implement sustainability goals and projects. He has served on the boards of both Chesapeake Climate Action Network and GreenHome.

The meeting will also include exhibits from local green businesses, an overview of ACE programming for 2017, and the election of the ACE board of directors. We’ll serve light refreshments.

Please RSVP.
