British-built Vauxhall Astra scoops SME Company Car of the Year Award

The Vauxhall Astra 1.6 CDTi Design 110PS S/S ecoFLEX has been voted the SME Company Car of the Year 2017. Voted for by an independent judging panel, the British-built Astra beat the new Jaguar F-Pace and the new Audi A4 in the SME small fleet focused awards.
The SME Company Car of the Year Awards, run by Business Car Manager, is supported by Fleet Alliance, a leading lease car supplier to the SME business sector.
Announcing the winner, editorial director of Business Car Manager, Ralph Morton, commented: “The Vauxhall Astra is such a great all-round car for the SME business buyer, it’s not hard to see why our independent judges placed it first.

• Best SME Director’s Company Car: Jaguar F-Pace 2.0 R-Sport 180PS AWD Auto
• Best SME Green Company Car: BMW i3 94Ah with Range Extender Auto
• Best SME Company Car Programme: Vauxhall
• Best SME After Sales Programme: Hyundai
This was the second successive year that the MINI has won the Best Compact SME Company Car and Hyundai has made itself untouchable in the After Sales category notching up its fourth successive victory.
The awards are judged independently by specialists in the SME market sector. The chair of the judging panel is Paul Hollick, managing director of mileage and expenses management firm, The Miles Consultancy and chairman of the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM).
Previous SME Company Car of the Year winners are: Mercedes E300 BlueTEC Hybrid G-Tronic Plus, Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTi Design ecoFLEX, BMW 520d SE auto and Jaguar XE 2.0d R-Sport 163PS.
