He obtained his real estate license in 1987 and has been assisting home buyers and sellers throughout Indiana ever since. At the same, Kemper has remained active in farming with the growing of corn and soybean as well as the raising of cattle. His farming career has also included time serving as a past president of the American Soybean Association and National Corn Growers Association. Kemper also is a member of the Lafayette Regional Association of REALTORS, the Indiana Association of REALTORS and National Association of REALTORS.

Kemper and his wife, Janet, live in Lafayette and have two children.
