Gazprom Neft doubles sales of high-technology bitumens in the first nine months of 2016
Operator of the Gazprom Neft bitumens business, Gazpromneft Bitumen Materials, has increased sales volumes of bitumen binders by six percent — to 1.5 million tonnes — in the first nine months of 2016. Sales of premium-class products — modified and complex bitumen-derivative products — increased two-fold year-on-year, to 85,000 tonnes. This record level has been achieved by the company delivering bitumen products via its own transport — a total 321,000 tonnes, some 38 percent more than during the whole of 2015.
The company significantly expanded its client portfolio during the first three quarters of 2016, as well as increasing its range of bitumen road coverings (asphalts). Thanks to the integration of the new NOVA-Brit facility the company’s bitumens product range now includes high-technology products for road and airport construction. In addition to which, the commencement of rail despatches from the company’s Moscow Refinery has simplified the logistics of supplying central and southern Russia, which has also contributed to increasing delivery volumes.
Gazprom Neft bitumen materials are currently being used in all of the country’s major road-construction projects, from Murmansk to Stavropol, and from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka. The company’s export operations are also developing, which shipments to the countries of South America, Africa and Central Asia commencing in 2016.
All of the company’s products are certified as fully compliant with domestic and international standards. Consumers of products supplied by Gazprom Neft can now check their authenticity through a unique “Product Code Quality-control Service” developed by the company in early 2016.
