Sri Lankan President Sirisena Insults the President-Elect Trump by Asking him to drop the horrifying war crimes charges: Tamils for Trump
Last Sunday, AFP reported the Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has asked US President-elect Donald Trump to pressure the UN Human Rights Council to drop war crimes allegations against the Sri Lankan army.
Sri Lankan President Maithripala asking President-elect Donald Trump to drop the Sri Lankan horrendous war crime allegations is an insult to President-Elect Donald Trump.
A Tamil for Trump spokesman said that the “Sri Lankan President Maithripala is not only insulting the US presidency, it also insults the our moral fabric of American society who voted for Donald Trump and American democratic institutions.
"President-elect Donald Trump is against any crime including rape, killings, abductions, drug trafficking, terrorism and state terrorism. Mr. Trump stated this clearly during his campaign speeches several times. There is no difference between him and the American people in regards to views on international crimes that have to be punished.
"According to The International Policy Digest, the Sri Lankan army killed over 145,000 innocent Tamil victims, raped thousands of Tamil women, made 90,000 Tamil widows and created 50,000 orphans during the end of the ethnic war in the traditional Tamil heartlands in the northeast of Sri Lanka in 2009."
“The Sri Lankan president exposed him against the war crimes investigation as asking Mr. Trump to drop the Sri Lankan war crimes would confirm that he would not ever try to find justice for the Tamil victims.
"It is now been proved to the world that it was a mistake to believe that the Sri Lankan president will offer justice to Tamils.
“March 2017 is the right time for international community, with the help of President Trump, to refer the horrendous Sri Lankan war crimes to International Criminal Court through the UN security council."

They believe that over 145,000 Tamil civilians living in Sri Lanka were massacred during the last weeks of the Sri Lankan ethnic war.
