Honda Rearview Report: October 22 - October 28, 2016

"The all-new 2017 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell sedan has received an EPA driving range rating of 366 miles, making it the longest range zero-emissions vehicle in America. With seating for five passengers and refueling times of just three to five minutes, the zero-emissions family road trip is no longer the stuff of science fiction.

In the coming year, the Clarity Fuel Cell will be joined by two additional variants, the Clarity Electric and Clarity Plug-in Hybrid, both scheduled for launch in the U.S. in 2017. This Clarity series of dedicated, advanced-technology vehicles represents the leading edge of Honda's strong commitment to electrified vehicles, which also will include the expanded application of plug-in hybrid technology to core Honda models.

Our global CEO has announced the intention that two-thirds of Honda's global auto sales be of electrified vehicles by 2030. This challenging target will not be accomplished easily, but through continuous effort, innovation and a challenging spirit with the aim of making these advanced technology vehicles affordable and practical for more people. The 366-mile range of the Clarity Fuel Cell is an important step in that direction."
