Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Announces Specialty Crop Grant Awardees

Lansing—Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) Director Jamie Clover Adams announced today the Michigan recipients of the United States Department of Agriculture Specialty Crop Block Grant Program.
“Each of these projects will help enhance of the growth of Michigan’s food and agriculture industry,” said Clover Adams. “We look forward to working with the grantees on the successful outcomes of their work.”
The grants, with a maximum award of $100,000 each, enhance the competitiveness of the state’s specialty crops. Below is the list of grantees:
• Celery Research, Inc. - $95,280.
