Cloud Logistics and project44 Team to Enhance Same Day TMS Projects and More

Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Oct. 19, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cloud Logistics, a foremost innovator and provider of next-generation transportation management systems (TMS) has partnered with project44, the leading enterprise cloud provider of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), to help Cloud Logistics’ TMS customers achieve Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) savings faster, easier and less expensively than traditional EDI-based integration methods.

“When we founded Cloud Logistics, it was with the vision of offering a ‘self-service’ TMS solution to shippers and 3PLs who had grown tired of expensive, time-consuming and risky projects,” said Mark Nix, founder and CEO of Cloud Logistics.  “project44 represents breakthrough technology that allows us to come closer than ever before to achieving that goal.”

In September of 2015, Cloud Logistics introduced the industry’s first “Same Day TMS”, enabling shippers to deploy a world-class TMS in a single day.  Since then, companies such as Container Centralen and American Freight Furniture and Mattress have experienced the benefits of this program.  One of the original limitations of Same Day TMS was the reliance on the EDI-based integration required to support LTL carriers.

Within a year of their go-to-market, project44 had captured APIs to 99.9% of the $37B LTL sector. When this new integrated solution is released later this fall, shippers looking to deploy a TMS in record time can now execute synchronous API transactions with their entire network of LTL carriers for rating, dispatch, tracking and image retrieval.

“The best part about working with one of the most innovative TMS providers in the marketplace is that our technologies are a great match,” said Tommy Barnes, President of project44. “Similar to project44, Cloud Logistics gets consistent recognition for their ease of use and rapid return on investment. Together, we can make a significant impact and help customers further streamline operations and gain greater control of their freight spend.”

Predrag Jakovljevic, Principal Analyst for Technology Evaluation Centers added, “This is a great example of the coming together of two technologies: cloud-based, enterprise-class supply chain software and streamlined, API-based integration.  Shippers will be the ones who ultimately benefit most, with faster implementations at lower costs.”

The soon-to-be launched integration is already gaining traction with the logistics market. Cloud Logistics and project44 will be jointly deployed to support a third party logistics providers’ new transportation division this fall.
