IT Governance to exhibit at InfoSec Week London
InfoSec Week supports European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) as promoted by ENISA, ShadowSEC and the University of East London through lectures, workshops and panel discussions on the latest trends in cyber security, data protection and infrastructure for information security.

To shed light on the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the NIS Directive, Alan Calder will deliver a lecture presentation on the “NIS, GDPR and cyber security: the convergence of cyber and compliance risk” on 26 October 2016 from 10:35 to 11:05am.
IT Governance’s head of GRC consultancy, Tony Drewitt, will also take part in a panel discussion on data privacy on 26 October 2016 from 14:05 to 15:10.
The inaugural Infosec Week event expects approximately 400 attendees over the two days, and encourages private and public companies, government, associations and industry professionals to attend.
The event’s key objectives are to generate general awareness about cyber security, discuss the EU Cyber Security Strategy, raise awareness of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Network ad Information Security (NIS) Directive, promote safer use of the Internet, and generate interest in cyber and information security practices.
InfoSec Week welcomes ICT professionals, system administrators, information systems managers, managers of business continuity and risk management, auditors, teachers, researchers, lawyers, students and individuals interested in cyber security issues.
