USHCC Honors Leading Brands in Supplier Diversity at 2016 Million Dollar Club Breakfast

/EINPresswire.com/ -- WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - October 10, 2016) - The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) will honor leading brands in supplier diversity at the association's premier National Convention event: The Million Dollar Club Breakfast, taking place on October 11th.

The Million Dollar Club was established to recognize corporations that actively demonstrate a commitment to minority and women owned enterprises through their work with minority suppliers. This year's honorees have invested a minimum of $25 million to upward of $1 billion or more in contracts with Hispanic-owned companies.

"We applaud our 2016 Million Dollar honorees as champions and trailblazers in supplier diversity," said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. "These industry leaders have proven that they are committed to inclusion by spending resources to ensure that their suppliers reflect the faces of their customers, employees, and shareholders. Opportunities have increased across the country as a result of our honorees' procurement efforts, creating jobs and fostering economic development in the communities where they are needed most. The USHCC is thrilled to celebrate these companies as part of our Million Dollar Club."

"An increasingly diverse country means that opportunities must abound for all Americans," said USHCC Chairman Raymond Arroyo. "Time and time again, businesses have benefited when they become more inclusive of women and minorities. The USHCC is committed to this philosophy, and we are proud of our Million Dollar Club honorees for their unwavering dedication to ensuring that more and more of their suppliers reflect America's diverse communities."
