Corboy & Demetrio Files Emergency Petition to Preserve Evidence in Ogden School Videotaping

A Chicago teacher, who was secretly videotaped in her school's bathroom by another teacher, is asking a judge to order CPS to preserve the video & camera.

CHICAGO, IL, USA, September 29, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Corboy & Demetrio has filed an emergency petition asking a judge to order Chicago Public Schools to preserve evidence in the case of an Ogden International School teacher who is accused of secretly videotaping teachers and a student in a bathroom. Attorney Matthew T. Jenkins of Corboy & Demetrio, which is representing a teacher who was videotaped, filed the petition in Cook Co. Circuit Court on Sept. 28, 2016 to preserve and obtain all evidence relating to the case, including the camera and videos.

Corboy & Demetrio also seeks the production of the employment file of Elliott Nott, the teacher accused of videotaping, and any related hiring documents possessed by CPS. "When Elliott Nott was hired by CPS, he had a known criminal record, which included peeping and prowling. That's unacceptable," Jenkins said. "Public schools are supposed to be safe harbors in our communities for both students and faculty, not a place to harbor criminals."

Nott was charged last week with one count of child pornography and seven counts of unauthorized videotaping. "Dangerous people should not be allowed to teach in our public schools. This is especially true where the criminal history was known or should have been known to CPS before they were hired," Jenkins said.
