Bringing together the light of Asian civilizations, The Asia Pacific Youth Dialogue successfully concludes

CHENGDU, SICHUAN, CHINA, September 25, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The high-profile Asia Pacific Youth Dialogue successfully concluded in Chengdu, China on Sept. 23. During the three-day meeting, nearly 200 elite young people from 46 Asia Pacific countries shared their views on respect for cultural diversity, promoting understanding and mutual trust among civilizations and enhancing social integration. They produced the Voices of Asian Youth - The recommendations from the Asia Pacific Youth Dialogue. The recommendations will be submitted to the forthcoming Conference of the Asian Civilizations Dialogue Forum (ACDF) and the Tenth UNESCO Youth Forum as a guiding document and a reference for promoting global dialogue between civilizations and maintaining world peace and development.
The forum was co-organized by the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, the Chengdu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee and Perfect World Education & Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. It received full support from organizations including the Global Youth Leaders Laboratory, Taihe Global Institute and Beijing China Today International Culture Development Co., Ltd. It is a demonstration of a growing sense of social responsibility on the part of businesses and civil groups in China.
At the forum, young people in Asia exchanged ideas, forged profound friendships, and enhanced their spirit of mutual trust and learning. As Vice President of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Mr. Zeng Yong said at the closing ceremony, the participants showed the vitality of youth and demonstrated their sense of social responsibility and mission to promote Asia-Pacific culture and civilizations during the enthusiastic and frank discussions. According to the forum organizers, the Asia Pacific Youth Dialogue could become a permanent event to promote cultural exchanges in Asia.
