The Energy Communities Alliance (ECA) held the 2016 National Cleanup Workshop Sept. 14-15, 2016, at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Va.  Cooperating organizations for the event included the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Energy Facility Contractors Group (EFCOG).

The workshop brought together senior DOE executives, officials from DOE sites, industry executives, and other stakeholders to discuss the DOE Office of Environmental Management’s (EM) progress in the cleanup of the environmental legacy of the nation’s Manhattan Project and Cold War nuclear weapons program.
