3. Do use great photos. Find photos where you are laughing and having fun, but don’t use glamour shots. 5. Do meet in a public place. If you’ve found someone you like, arrange to meet them at the movies or at a public bar rather than at someone’s home.

Don’t
1. Don’t try to find someone who is perfect. They don’t exist.
2. Don’t lie. If your profile says you are a 6ft tall Doctor, and your date finds out you are actually 5ft and unemployed – there’s going to be some disappointment. Better to start off on the right foot by telling the truth.
3. Don’t try too hard. You might be a funny person, but different people have a different perception of humour; so keep it to a minimum.
4. Don’t fall for a scam. If someone sounds too good to be true, they probably are!
5. Don’t give out your personal information. If you want to share your mobile phone number, that’s fine, but don’t give out your home phone number, your address or your place of work.
