Campbell Named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices for Eighth Consecutive Year

CAMDEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 8, 2016-- Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index for the eighth consecutive year and the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the seventh consecutive year. These independent rankings recognize Campbell’s leadership in supporting long-term shareholder value while creating a more sustainable environment and making a measurable difference in local communities.

  • Increasing the total gross sales of foods that meet the U.S. Food and Drug Administration definition of healthy by 8.6 percent for Campbell’s U.S. product portfolio;

  • Providing more than $1.8 million in grants through the Campbell Soup Foundation to nonprofit community service organizations, with more than half dedicated to agencies serving the city of Camden;
