Executive Auto Shippers to Host Alzheimer’s Fundraiser in Des Moines

“A lot of good memories can be associated with a car, especially classics,” says Matt Van Gelder, CEO of Executive Auto Shippers. That’s why EAS decided to host a fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association in the form of a car show. “We felt a car show was a very relatable way for us to promote the Alzheimer’s Association,” Van Gelder commented.
The event is considerately called Drive Down Memory Lane. It will be held Sunday, September 18th at Principal Park. Van Gelder mentioned that besides a few of the local food trucks, the other vendors will include family activities, chair massages, and various goods. It’s free to the public, and will run from 12pm to 4pm. People interested in showing their vehicle can contact the event organizer, Kristi Kenyon, at kristi@executiveautoshippers.com.
All proceeds will be donated to the organization. “We aren’t looking to make a profit but simply help a great organization,” Van Gelder stated, “with the help of our vendors and sponsor, MyKlassic.com, we’re hoping to put on a really great show for both spectators and participants.”
