/EINPresswire.com/ -- Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 21,255 vehicles in July 2016 versus 22,826 in July 2015.

John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing for GM Canada, said, "While July sales slowed slightly after a strong June, we continue to see growing strength in our brands and products. Our retail-focused plan is working, with retail sales up 4 per cent for the year."

July 2016 Brand Sales Highlights:

• Chevrolet sales are up 1 per cent calendar year to date driven by sales of the Spark (up 70 per cent CYTD), Volt (up 192 per cent CYTD), Impala (up 15 per cent CYTD) and Traverse (up 18 per cent CYTD)
• Buick sales are up 13 per cent calendar year to date with continued strong performance from its SUV portfolio including the Encore (up 9 per cent CYTD)
• Sales of GMC utilities are up 51 per cent calendar year to date led by sales of the Terrain (up 2 per cent CYTD) and Canyon (up 12 per cent CYTD)
• Cadillac sales are up 1 per cent for the month driven by sales of the Escalade (up 66 per cent for the month)

Overall, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 21,255 vehicles in July 2016, a decrease of 6 per cent versus June 2015.
