Pengower Ltd achieves Cyber Essentials certification with IT Governance’s ‘Do It Yourself’ packaged solution
The scheme was developed by the UK Government to help organisations build a basic level of cyber hygiene and demonstrate to clients, stakeholders, partners, investors and insurers that they have taken the necessary steps to prevent “around 80% of cyber attacks”.

The Cyber Essentials scheme defines clear controls that organisations of any size should implement to mitigate cyber risks and improve their cyber security posture. These controls are: secure configuration, boundary firewalls and Internet gateways, access control and administrative privilege management, patch management, and malware protection.
Pengower Ltd opted for the ‘Do It Yourself’ packaged solution to achieve certification. The transparent, flexible and cost-effective solution includes a review of the self-assessment questionnaire (SAQ), the required external and internal vulnerability scans, and the certification service.
IT Governance is a CREST-accredited certification body and provides certification packages that can be deployed by any company wishing to achieve Cyber Essentials certification.
