Quantenna's QSR1000 4x4 802.11ac Wave 2 Chipset Family Selected as Part of the Test Bed for Interoperability Certification

A new set of wave 2 features are added to help achieve evolutionary improvements in speed, range, efficiency and capability to Wi-Fi networks.

Quantenna was the first company to launch 4x4 MU-MIMO 802.11ac solutions with its QSR1000 4x4 802.11ac Wave 2 Chipset Family. MU-MIMO is among the most anticipated new features of Wi-Fi CERTIFIED ac, which improves Wi-Fi network performance by transmitting data to multiple devices simultaneously and optimizing spectral efficiency.

In addition, the Wi-Fi Alliance also selected Quantenna to provide the first wave 2 compatible Wi-Fi sniffer for the test bed. The sniffer captures and analyzes the Wi-Fi transmissions exchanged during the testing to establish compliance of the tested devices.
