NY & NJ MSDC Holds Two Major Networking Events for Its Members

/EINPresswire.com/ -- NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - June 24, 2016) - The New York & New Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council held two annual networking events for its certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Corporate Members. Both of these signature events allowed members to connect, develop potential business opportunities and discuss supplier diversity.

Networking for Scholarships, June 7, 2016 -- On June 7th at the Montclair Golf Club in West Orange, NJ, certified MBEs and Corporate Members networked while enjoying 18 holes of golf at the 21st Annual Networking for Scholarships. Sponsored by EY (Ernst & Young) and United Building Maintenance Corporation, this event allowed attendees to make valuable connections with top corporate supplier diversity professionals during a gorgeous afternoon outdoors. For non-golfers, the day was spent networking during clubhouse activities, enjoying a golf clinic, bidding on raffle prizes and a silent auction. In addition, attendees were invited to a lively and interactive session on key techniques for using LinkedIn for business development led by Luis Cuneo, Portfolio Manager,
Women and Diversity B2B Marketing, IBM. Networking for Scholarships is a one of a kind event that helps generate financial support to fund scholarships for qualified NY & NJ MSDC certified suppliers to attend executive education programs at top business schools.

Business Opportunity Expo, June 8, 2016 -- Following Networking for Scholarships, the Business Opportunity Expo was held at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ on June 8th co-chaired by two minority business enterprises -- Saviance Technologies (www.saviance.com) and Sundial Brands LLC (www.SundialBrands.com). The Business Opportunity Expo provided MBEs and Corporate Members with workshops, panels and educational sessions focused on business development and corporate outsourcing, and current challenges in supplier diversity. Hundreds of members were present at the trade show, matchmaker sessions, panels and educational workshops throughout the day. Minority Business Enterprises also had the opportunity to experience a Goldman Sachs 10,000 small business program titled Who Wants to Be the Next $100M Firm? Strategies to Accelerate Revenue.

Considered New York City's top conference on business development and corporate outsourcing, The Business Opportunity Expo allowed businesses to showcase their services and products to the hundreds of fellow business owners and corporations present.
