Father and Son Team Up to Bring College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk to Charlottesville, Virginia

College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk and Moving Expands Into Charlottesville

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA--(Marketwired - June 16, 2016) - College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk and Moving -- which has been featured on "Blue Collar Millionaire," "Shark Tank," and other primetime shows -- has expanded into Charlottesville. The company provides local moving, junk removal, donation pickups and more.

/EINPresswire.com/ -- The locally-owned business is a veteran-owned father-son venture. Laurence Mann will lead the H.U.N.K.S. team. (H.U.N.K.S. stands for Honest, Uniformed, Nice, Knowledgeable Service.) He is a 2015 graduate of the University of Alabama who is building a team of professional movers under the guidance of his father, Univeristy of Virginia gastroenterologist James Mann, who served in the Air Force.

The junk removal and moving business will serve Charlottesville, Barracks, Commonwealth, Wildwood, Monticello, Simeon and Shadwell, and other parts of Albemarle County.

Professional service
Mann says customers will probably be surprised when they first see the bright orange and green College H.U.N.K.S. trucks, full of smiling enthusiastic employees in khakis and polos. The overall experience is nothing like what most people have come to expect from movers and junk haulers.

"First of all, we are one of the most professional companies out there, and we are well-trained. These are guys that are professionals," he says of the training he received, which he is passing on to employees. "They care about wowing the customers."

When providing junk removal, College H.U.N.K.S. also works hard to find new homes for the items they remove. "We're very green, which is something people often don't expect when they think of junk hauling," Mann says. Most items are either donated to a charitable organization or recycled.

Strong values
Another way College H.U.N.K.S. sets itself apart is through the culture of the organization, which attracts highly-motivated individuals who want to deliver great service and learn to run an outstanding business. Mann praises the company's entrepreneurial culture, which is training new employees to be leaders and helping them master business skills that they can use to become managers or business owners.

As a young entrepreneur, Mann says he is benefitting from the mentorship of College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk's corporate team, as well as the advice of the growing numbers of franchisees nationwide. That networks includes a longtime friend, Bradley Simmons, who started a College H.U.N.K.S. location a year ago in Charleston, South Carolina.

"They really do embrace their values on a day-to-day basis, and they really want you to grow as a franchise owner, and really want your employees to grow as well on a day-to-day basis -- it was just amazing, and it was something I wanted to be a part of," said Laurence.

Mann's business is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. You can reach him at (434) 381-3209 or http://locations.collegehunkshaulingjunk.com/va/charlottesville.html.
