“I started writing the book when my oldest son was going through BUD/S, in San Diego. BUD/S is an acronym for Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL. It is the beginning of Navy SEAL training. He was in BUD/S class 258. The book was in the making for about 8 months,” shares Hardage, when asked about the inspiration behind his book.
