HAPPY VALLEY, OREGON, USA, May 25, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Today more Americans live in stepfamilies than traditional families. The blended home is considered the most difficult home to live in – children often experience deep feelings of hurt, anger, and depression – but strong, loving and supportive blended families are possible.

There is no perfect family because all families are made up of imperfect people. And it doesn’t matter what your history. The past does not define the future.

“The heart of a child young or old is large enough to love all parents, even step parents,” says Maxine Marsolini, founder of Rebuilding Families, a family coaching practice specializing in cultivating harmony within families.

Rebuilding Families’ purpose is to encourage all families by presenting a clear path from where they are to where they want to be. The objective is to equip families with the necessary skills to excel in the areas of marriage, raising children, blended family dynamics and financial matters. The organization emphasizes integrating children into blended families and teaching parents effective co-parenting skills to create healthy families that co-exist in harmony and respect for one another.

“At Rebuilding Families we believe in building a strong family today to strengthen tomorrow’s outcomes,” says Maxine. “I want to help families reach their God-given potential and accomplish what God put them here to do.”

Maxine herself has dealt with the challenges of blended families when she remarried in 1975 to a man with three children.

“It was very difficult for us. We had no idea there would be so many emotions,” recalls Maxine. “Everybody has a different expectation but they all want to be loved.”

Maxine believes her goal is to help others “find a harmony within the whole.” As a Christian life coach, she says bringing the Lord into the conversation is often beneficial to the process because the power of God’s word and prayer can remove arguments from the equation.

“What does God want us to do? He says love one another, forgive one another. He leads us to enjoy life.”

Maxine is the author of a number of family self-help books. Blended Families, Raising Children in Blended Families and the Blended Families Workbook are specifically written to address the blended family. Rebuilding Families One Dollar at a Time, is a guide for shaping a positive financial future for every family.

Her newest book, Mother’s Fury, speaks to the terrible wrong of child abuse. This book urges readers to stop the generational cycle of child abuse by dealing with it today. Mother’s Fury helps victims release the terrible trauma they experienced in childhood and find fresh joy.

“I’m most proud of the fact that we could find harmony for our own family,” says Maxine. “Harmony is often achieved by letting go and letting God change hearts, so it warms my heart when I see families reaching the potential I know God has for them.”
