FC Gazprom-UGRA wins UEFA Futsal Cup

On April 25, the 2015/16 UEFA Futsal Cup, Europe's most important club futsal tournament, ended in Guadalajara, Spain. The UEFA Futsal Cup final was contested by Russia's champion Gazprom-UGRA futsal club and Spain's champion Inter Movistar. Gazprom-UGRA managed to beat Inter Movistar (Madrid), scoring 4–3 in a thrilling match.

FC Gazprom-UGRA made a winning debut at the UEFA Futsal Cup without a single defeat. The team showed a great performance in the Final Four, which for the first time in a long period brought together the champions from four leading countries of the Old World: Russia, Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Spain's Movistar Inter suffered a home loss in the final match.

Russia's reigning champion, FC Gazprom-UGRA, confirmed its status at an international level. Russia won the UEFA Cup eight years after its last victory.
