Dr. Cheryl Saban opens up candidly about surviving rape, growing up in the 50’s and 60’s in America, why being a feminist matters and the price of freedom.

LONDON, UK, February 9, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Acclaimed author and Women’s Rights advocate Dr. Cheryl Saban granted Zefyr Life Magazine an exclusive interview where she opens up candidly about surviving rape in her teen years, growing up in the 50’s and 60’s in America, why being a feminist matters and the price of freedom.

‘Rape culture and oppression of women are not confined to Middle-East geographies - as recently forcefully illustrated by The Hunting Ground, a documentary shocker on rapes taking place on American college campuses. It takes a lot of courage and generosity to speak out publicly about those issues to raise awareness and bring about justice and change, especially in the way victims' voices are being heard and acknowledged by authorities, be they University Deans or the police. ’ said Florian David, Editor-in Chief of Zefyr Life Magazine and CEO of Zefyr Worldwide in London.

Lina Daugirdaite, Zefyr Life Magazine’s Co-Founder, added: ‘I find Cheryl Saban's story incredibly inspiring and empowering. As Sartre said ‘We are what we make of what others have made of us’ and this is what we can all learn from Cheryl. We are so very happy to share Cheryl’s ideals, and we hope that this interview will move both women and men alike'.
