/EINPresswire.com/ -- PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 12/01/15 -- Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill restaurants today launched a new corporate giving program, Cornbread for A Cause, designed to raise funds from sales proceeds from the restaurants' famous cornbread. Just in time for the holidays, Cornbread for A Cause is raising funds for Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation and Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas from Z'Tejas restaurants located in Phoenix, AZ and Austin, TX, respectively.

Beginning December 1 through December 31, 100% of sales from Z'Tejas freshly-baked loaf of cornbread priced at $3 will go to Phoenix Children's Hospital and Dell Children's Medical Center. Both hospitals are part of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

"Giving back to the community we serve has always been part of the Z'Tejas culture since the first location opened more than 25 years ago," said Gary Manley, General Partner at Z'Tejas. "With the launch of Cornbread for A Cause this season of giving, we are staying true to our Z'Tejas roots and look forward to raising funds for two nonprofits that are making a big difference in the health and lives of children."

In addition, throughout December, Z'Tejas has special coloring sheets for guests' children that they can color and add a message of encouragement to a child who is hospitalized during the holidays. Parents and guardians can also participate by snapping a photo of their child's project and sharing them with Z'Tejas on Facebook or Instagram for a chance to win 1 of 10 $25 Z'Tejas gift cards.
