Church of Scientology Supports The Way To Happiness Center’s Youth Workshops

CLEARWATER, Fla., Nov. 18, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In celebration of the Thanksgiving season, The Way To Happiness Florida Foundation, supported by the International Association of Scientologists, is holding a children’s workshops on honoring and helping ones’ parents. The event will be held in its new center in Clearwater on Saturday, November 28. There is no cost to attend and it is open to children of all ages and their parents.

Written by humanitarian and Church of Scientology founder, L. Ron Hubbard, The Way To Happiness is a secular, common-sense code of conduct to fill the moral vacuum in an increasingly materialistic society. It contains 21 basic principles that guide one to a better quality of life.

The Foundation began its youth-oriented workshops that engage both children and parents soon after the center opened its doors on July 11th. 20 workshops have been delivered thus far to 150 children and 50 parents. The first workshop was held on July 20th and took up the subject of Etiquette. Delivered by Ms. Peggy Patrick, founder of the Florida School of Etiquette, children were taught the formalities of table setting, shaking hands and proper conduct in interpersonal relationships. “I learned that manners are really important and help with life.” remarked one student, “I really liked it”.
