BELFAST, Northern Ireland, Oct. 22, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- See.Sense ICON launched on Kickstarter and achieved its funding goal of £24K ($37,000) in only 16 hours.  It has clearly captured the imagination of cyclists and journalists around the world, receiving rave reviews from leading cycling and tech journalists and has already raised almost $USD100,000 with more than two days still to go.

See.Sense ICON is an intelligent and connected light that instantly turns any bicycle into a fully connected ride.  By integrating with your smartphone, the new See.Sense ICON has the ability to alert you if the light senses someone tampering with your bike and alerting a nominated contact if it senses you have had a crash. And if you’re on a street with lots of potholes, the light can let the city know. 

The cycling gadget also utilises the patent-pending intelligent sensor tech found in their first light, to tell if a cyclist is approaching an intersection, a roundabout, riding in and out of traffic, or entering a tunnel. In these scenarios the light will shine brighter and flash faster. The rechargeable light has daylight visible LED lights, with both a focused and dispersed beam, helping riders avoid crashes at dawn and dusk, some of the riskiest times to ride.
