Ribfest Celebrates Fiesta Latina

Ribfest continues the celebration of Hispanic culture with “Fiesta Latina” on Friday, July 3.

NAPERVILLE, IL, USA, July 3, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Ribfest Celebrates "Fiesta Latina" July 3. Due to last year’s success of El Dia de Los Hispanos (Hispanic Day), Naperville Ribfest continues the celebration of Hispanic culture with “Fiesta Latina” on Friday, July 3. “Last year, the response to El Dia de Los Hispanos was overwhelmingly positive,” said Don Emery, Ribfest Marketing Chair. “Many families came to enjoy the popular offerings of Ribfest. Because of this, we decided again to offer a special day under the new name of Fiesta Latina.” Adult tickets are $10 at the gate and children under 11 are admitted free. Family specials are available at the gate from 12-3 p.m., including carnival passes good for unlimited rides on the midway for only $10 and a $5 pulled pork sandwich! In addition to the rows of mouthwatering rib vendors from all over the country, the food court will feature cuisine from Sergio’s Cantina, a popular Mexican restaurant from Geneva, Illinois.

Dozens of free family events are available throughout the day including a petting zoo, inflatables, stage shows, reptiles, magic acts, and events from the Chicago White Sox. The music section kicks off at 3 p.m. at the OneMainFinancial Stage. Chicago’s Mariachi Michoacan will perform traditional Mexican music from 3 to 4 p.m. Dezafinado 7 takes the stage from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Rio Bamba will provide the smooth sounds of Brazilian, Latin and American Jazz from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The Cecy Santana Band will close out the day with a set that includes house, dance, R&B and traditional and popular Brazilian music from 8:30 to 10 p.m. There is free off-site parking and shuttle available.
