RUN & GUN PREMIER EVENT IN PHOENIX SET FOR MARCH 28TH

Obstacle Course Offers Unique Challenges

PHOENIX, AZ, UNITED STATES, February 7, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Attention all challenge enthusiasts: Run & Gun is coming to Phoenix! The Run & Gun Challenge is an entirely new obstacle course that presents the opportunity to participate not only in a fun and exciting obstacle course, but also, for the first time ever, in target shooting challenges. After completing each of the two legs of the physical challenge, participants will attempt to knock down targets in an enclosed shooting range, using only non-lethal training ammunition.

According to the Founder of Run & Gun, Joe Jacobs, this is an event for people of all physical capabilities. “The emphasis is on teamwork and having a great time. If you are adventurous and can run or walk 3-4 miles in ¼ mile increments, you are more than ready for Run & Gun,” he said. Jacobs, himself a disabled veteran, continued, “The goal is to face the challenge, have a great time doing it, and finish with a sense of accomplishment.”

The focus of the challenge is not about getting the highest score or fastest time--it’s all about fun, camaraderie, and teamwork. While Run & Gun is not necessarily a team sport, many of the obstacles will require help from friends or other runners. “Teams are encouraged, but not mandatory,” said Jacobs, who also encouraged registrants to sign up with friends.

The Run & Gun challenge is a rare opportunity for attendees to conquer challenging obstacles, bond with a team, and show off their target skills – or shoot for the first time! - using specially modified Glock handguns and Smith & Wesson rifles. Not only are the firearms safe, they’re fun to shoot with, less than half the noise and recoil of the non-modified versions.

Run & Gun is set to kick off near Phoenix on March 28, 2015 at Maricopa Wells of Wild Horse Pass. Participants over 18 years old are invited to take part in this new and creative venture, which tests more than just physical stamina. The $125 entry fee includes everything the participant needs to complete the course, and Run & Gun gear.
