A poem that tells a tale of adventure, courage, dedication, and faith "When Shamrocks Smile" is an illustrative children's book of a little ship's determination to survive the rough seas.

"I wrote ‘When Shamrocks Smile’ on Saint Patrick's day about eight years ago… [It] was a poem that I wrote as a gift for my mother. Things were a bit rough for us financially at the time and I wanted to write her something that would lift her spirits and remind both of us to remain strong in our faith," shares Rachel on the inspiration behind the book.

Rachel Daigh’s passion for writing started at a young age. While studying Archaeology in college, one of her poems entitled, “A Recollection of Her Blues” was selected for the college's yearly Honors Creative Writing publication. In 2006, a book of Rachel's poetry “Angst For The Memories” was published and released. She was also featured as Artist of the Month in her home town of Glendale Arizona that same year. When Shamrocks Smile, is Rachel’s first published children's book. When she’s not writing, Rachel is seen supporting animal rights and marine conservations or spending time with her two Siberian Huskies.
