Big Chill Pro Range Named a 'Best Of Year' Honoree by Interior Design Magazine

“Best Of Year Honorees” represent superior interior design products and projects.

BOULDER, CO, USA, December 20, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Interior Design magazine recently named the new Big Chill Pro Range a 2014 “Best Of Year Honoree” in the kitchen appliance category. The awards recognize superior interior design products and projects.

Big Chill founder Orion Creamer said, “We work hard to be at the forefront of innovation and design, and we are honored to be recognized by this prestigious panel of interior designers and architects."

With its blend of modern looks, bold colors and exceptional performance—and with a revolutionary price of $2,395 for a hand-built appliance—the new Big Chill Pro Range features clean lines and bold colors and up to 18,000 BTU burners. The full motion grates let you slide pots and pans from front to rear burners without lifting them. The Pro Range has the largest oven capacity available on a 30” range and will accommodate a commercial size baking sheet. Twelve curated standard colors and 200 custom colors are available.

Creamer said, “We wanted to offer a range with impeccable design, color and performance, all at a revolutionary price point and expand the Big Chill line from our iconic retro fridge to a new era of style.”

Qualified interior designers and architects selected BoY product design finalists during a two-week period in October via an online vote, and category winners were determined by a jury of leading architects and designers. Only 200 product honorees were selected from more than 1,000 entries across multiple categories; 60,000 votes were cast in the product category.

More than 950 people from the design community (designers and manufacturers) gathered at the state of the art Frank Gehry design, IAC Building in NYC on December 4th for the 9th Annual Interior Design Best of Year Awards ceremony. The auditorium was standing room only, as the winners were announced live by hosts Cindy Allen, Editor in Chief, and Mark Strauss, President and Publisher, using the IAC's 80 foot video wall to present.

Big Chill was founded by Orion Creamer and his uncle Thom Vernon in 2001 and made a splash with its brightly colored, retro-styled fridges with modern amenities. Since then the Boulder, Colorado-based company has expanded its product offering to include refrigerators, fridges, dishwashers, microwaves, stoves, hoods and wall ovens, available in more than 200 colors, as well as custom colors. In addition to retro, mid-century-styled appliances, Big Chill also manufactures contemporary-styled Pro appliances that blend modern design, bold colors and serious performance. Big Chill appliances can be purchased directly online. Visit www.bigchill.com to learn more.
